After traveling to all 50 states across the US, some of my favorite American cities to visit have surprised me, from Boise to Milwaukee to Cleveland. Each of these cities offers unique experiences that often go unnoticed by travelers.
Boise, the capital of Idaho, boasts a vibrant arts scene and an array of outdoor activities. Its stunning parks and nearby mountains provide ample opportunities for hiking, biking, and enjoying nature. The city’s friendly atmosphere and local breweries make it a great spot for relaxation and adventure alike.
Milwaukee, known for its brewing traditions, is a cultural hub with a rich history. Visitors can explore its diverse neighborhoods, indulge in delicious cheese and craft beer, and enjoy events like the famous Summerfest music festival.
Cleveland, often overshadowed by its larger neighbors, is home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a revitalized waterfront. The city’s culinary scene is thriving, offering everything from classic comfort food to innovative dining experiences.
These cities prove that there’s much more to explore beyond the typical tourist destinations, making them perfect for travelers seeking something a little different.
