The West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office has announced a significant increase in new business registrations, with a total of 1,229 new entities established in July. Secretary of State Kris Warner highlighted the positive trend in entrepreneurial activity across the state, noting that several counties stood out in terms of registrations.
Berkeley, Raleigh, Kanawha, Monongalia, Jefferson, and Cabell counties were among the leaders in new business formations, reflecting a robust interest in starting new ventures in these areas. This uptick in registrations is viewed as a promising sign for the state’s economy, suggesting a growing confidence among entrepreneurs and potential job creators.
Secretary Warner shared this encouraging data while attending a monthly event in Buckhannon, where he emphasized the importance of supporting local businesses and fostering an environment conducive to economic growth.
