SHELLEY -- Three brothers from a small Idaho town never expected their parents' garage operation to grow into what it is today. But this month, Dallin, Morgan and Scott Jolley received the Idaho Small Business Persons of the Year award for their work running ProTech Fence.
The business started modestly. The Jolley parents ran it from home, handling small fencing jobs for neighbors. Over time, the sons took over and expanded the company. They now handle large commercial and residential projects across the region.
The award recognizes their growth, their commitment to local hiring, and their involvement in the community. The brothers said they were surprised by the honor. They credited their parents for laying the foundation and their employees for making the business run.
"We didn't set out to win awards," one of them said. "We just wanted to build a good company that people could rely on."
The brothers plan to keep growing the business. They also want to give back to the community that supported them from the start. The award came from the U.S. Small Business Administration, which selects winners from each state each year.
