When activated, sentry mode enters an alert state, displaying a message on the screen that warns potential intruders that they are being monitored.
If any suspicious activity is detected, such as someone leaning on the car or attempting to break in, the system triggers an alarm and begins recording video footage. This not only captures evidence of the incident but also serves as a deterrent to would-be attackers.
To enable this feature, owners can easily access it through the vehicle's touchscreen interface or via the mobile app. With the growing concerns around vehicle theft and vandalism, Tesla's sentry mode offers peace of mind for owners, ensuring their investment is better protected.
