One Hurt in Glendale Business Shooting, Suspect Arrested

Police in Glendale are investigating a shooting at a business near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road that left one person with serious injuries. The incident drew a heavy police presence to the area outside a Fry's grocery store, where officers responded after reports of gunfire.

Authorities say the victim was taken to a hospital with injuries described as serious. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and police say there is no ongoing threat to the public. Investigators have not released the names of the people involved or a possible motive for the shooting.

The large police response disrupted traffic and business activity in the surrounding area for several hours while officers secured the scene and collected evidence. Shoppers and employees nearby were kept away from the immediate area as the investigation got underway.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about what happened to contact the Glendale Police Department. The case remains under investigation, and further details are expected as authorities continue to review evidence and interview witnesses. No additional injuries were reported.
